Turn on Zoom on clicks and PointerStudio builds the zooms from your clicks. Set the zoom level, choose how smooth each move feels, and let the view glide after your cursor.

Pick a gradient, a wallpaper, a color or your own picture. Round the corners, add a frame and a shadow, and choose the shape: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 4:3 or 21:9.

What is PointerStudio?
PointerStudio (also written Pointer Studio) is a free screen recorder and editor for Windows 10 and 11. It follows your cursor, zooms on your clicks, adds backgrounds and captions, and exports an MP4 with no watermark. It is made by Khizoft.
Is PointerStudio really free?
Yes. Every feature is free today, with no watermark and no time limit. The app mentions that a Pro plan is planned for later.
Does PointerStudio have auto captions?
Yes, for English videos. Captions are created on your computer and you can style all of them at once.
Does it add a watermark?
No. Exports have no watermark and no time limit.
Which Windows versions does it support?
Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Does PointerStudio upload my recordings?
No. Recordings, projects and exports stay on your computer.
Windows warns me when I install. Is it safe?
PointerStudio is new and the installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say the publisher is unknown. Select More info, then Run anyway. Download only from this page or the official GitHub release.
Does it work on a Mac?
Not yet. PointerStudio runs on Windows 10 and 11 today.
